Headway made on copyright front; exchanges heat up with Croatian, Dutch publishers and illustrators

The Taiwan pavilion held two copyright matchmaking meetings in conjunction with the Dutch Foundation for Literature and Croatian Children's Books Publishers Association, respectively. Illustrators from the three countries got to showcase their works and tell their own stories through the events. Publishers were able to introduce their specialties to the world as well, thereby attracting a lot of interested buyers and parties.

With the aim of promoting copyright transactions and international exchanges, the Taiwan pavilion launched the inaugural bilateral copyright exchange program at the 2013 Frankfurt Book Fair, paving the path for further interactions with publishing organizations from around the world. Continuing in this fashion, Taiwanese and Finnish publishers were able to engage in in-depth interaction at the 2014 Bologna Children’s Book Fair through collaboration with the Finnish Literature Exchange. In addition to the copyright meetings, this year’s book fair saw the Taiwan pavilion take international exchanges to the next level by launching advanced cooperation with Croatian and Dutch illustrators and publishers.
