“To Live is To Create” – Taiwan Presents Diverse Publications at the 2021 Guadalajara International Book Fair

The prominent book fair in the Ibero-America, Guadalajara International Book Fair (La Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara, better known as FIL), is returning with a hybrid in-person and online event from November 27th to December 5th.   Promoting the Taiwanese publishing industry to the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets, the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) and Taipei Book Fair Foundation jointly present 292 titles from 78 publishers at the Taiwan Pavilion themed “To Live is To Create”.

Taiwan at 2019 FIL, Showcasing the Best Graphic Publications

Funded by Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture and organized by Taipei Book Fair Foundation, 2019 Taiwan Pavilion will showcase a selection of 418 original titles from 55 publishing houses under the theme “Taiwan: Island of Amazing Stories,” with a special focus on picture books and graphic novels. In order to pique readers’ interest, Taiwan will not only present a marvelous selection of 51 picture books with sample translations in Spanish but also introduce two outstanding authors (best-selling children’s author Lai Ma and commercial director/ graphic novelist Sean Chuang) and their amazing works to international professionals and readers.

Taiwan illustrators Chinlun Lee and 61Chi shine at 2018 Guadalajara International Book Fair

2018 Taiwan Pavilion was organized by the Taipei Book Fair Foundation under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. Covering an area of 54 square meters, the pavilion comprised six booths which exhibited 462 titles from 55 publishers. Alongside the Spanish-language translation of 41 select local titles, the pavilion also showcased the two Taiwanese picture book authors Chinlun Lee and 61Chi (Liu Yi-Chi).
