In addition, TIBE invited Gunter Pauli, founder of Zero Emissions Research Initiatives (ZERI), to give a speech on the latest concepts in sustainable social and ecological development, and set up an “Extensive Reading Zone” in collaboration with France, Finland, Australia and New Zealand to accommodate the exchange and interaction of green living trends, experiences and action plans from different countries around the world.
Moreover, TiBE 2012 launched the cross-domain “Chinese-language Publishing and TV/Film Matchmaking Platform,” with the aim of extending the reach of Chinese-language publications into the realm of film and TV, and simultaneously invigorating the development of publishing and TV/film industries. This matchmaking platform hold two major events during this TiBE: the “Pitching Forum” and “One on One Meeting.” Also, several seminars were held, inviting TV, film and publishing professionals to address case studies of Chinese-language books adapted into films or TV dramas.
